This graph is comparing how many Walnut Creek condos and townhouses Sold compared to how many units were on the market in any given month.
It’s classic Supply and Demand. If there are more units on the market than people are buying, you end up with too many units for too few buyers. This called a “Buyers Market”.
If the opposite is happening, you get more buyers than sellers, and it’s a “Sellers Market”.
If you look at the chart you’ll see the Walnut Creek condo and townhouse market has typically had more demand for units than inventory, so we’ve had a mild Sellers Market”.
